Natural Paint and Dye Workshops

How to Forage and Process Natural Pigments:
Learn about where to find plants, mushrooms and rocks and how to work with them to make pigments. Paint recipes and demonstrations are included.
5-15 participants, $75 per person, 2 hour class.

Plant and Mushroom Dyes:
This workshop focuses on harvesting and processing 10 dye plants and mushrooms for use in dyeing natural fibers. We review nuancing colors with mordants and modifiers, blending colors, creating different colors by over-dyeing (i.e. dipping in indigo (blue) and then dipping in weld (yellow) to create a bright green).
5-15 participants, $75 per person, 2 hour class.

Design your Color Garden:
Participants will have the opportunity to develop a design for their color garden for dyes and pigments. During the class we will review planting, cultivation, harvesting and sustainable garden care.
5-15 participants, $100 per person, 2 hour class.
